Education and Career Background
Judy was fortunate enough to receive education in the best schools and institutions in Hong Kong where she was born and raised. She attended both St. Paul’s Convent School and Maryknoll Sister’s School, both are renowned schools with English being the primary teaching language.
Judy attended Hong Kong Polytechnic for her post-secondary education, studying business management and majoring in marketing as well as purchasing and supply management. She then received further education in Administration and Personnel Management in Hong Kong University. Later on, while working for the government of Hong Kong, She pursued a post-graduate diploma from the Chinese University in Horticulture and Recreation Management.
After graduation, Judy worked as a purchasing manager in the private sector. Her early career afforded her the chance to travel extensively in China and she even helped set up a new factory in Northern China.
Judy made a career change and worked for the Government of Hong Kong in 1982. She was given the role of planning and controlling a City District’s budget and expenditure, as well as management and deployment of over 500 staff.
Real Estate Experience
Judy acquired her real estate license in 1994 and joined MacDonald Realty Westmar, one of the best real estate companies in Vancouver.
Her service area covers the entire Lower Mainland specializing in the west side of Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby and as far as West and North Vancouver. Other than the residential market, She has in-depth knowledge in commercial real estate including sales and leasing. She also handled a number of commercial property transactions in Whistler.
Judy derives great pleasure in working with people from all walks of life. Several satisfied clients of all nationalities and cultures can attest to that fact. Judy is diligent in listening to and discussing their needs and she loves to share her knowledge whenever she can. Judy has helped numerous new immigrants settle down in the process.
With hard work and the support of her clients, Judy has received the Gold Master Medallion awarded by the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver. This is an honor for the realtors who are in the top 10% in sales volume for 10 years and more. Within MacDonald Realty, Judy is consistently one of the top 5% top producers.
Judy speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Having been in the industry since 1994, She has developed a network of real estate service providers including the best mortgage brokers, house inspectors, lawyers/notary public, accountants, repair and maintenance personnel, movers etc. They are always there to provide the best services at the best rates, working as a team to provide a total package of services.
Community Involvement
Judy believes in giving back to the community. She has volunteered in:
- The Richmond Chinese School as Vice President and Directors for years.
- Numerous music festivals, competitions, and served as director in the National Canadian Music Competition.
- The Vancouver School Board as translator and liaison between parents and teachers.
- York House School and St. Georges’ School fund raising and annual events.
